Terms of Service
Last updated: April 19, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and TradeLens (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use TradeLens.
1. What TradeLens is — and isn’t
TradeLens is a software service that imports your own brokerage history, reconstructs round-trip trades, and presents analytics and journaling tools. TradeLens is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, or tax professional. We do not execute trades, custody assets, or provide personalized advice. Nothing in the product is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.
No affiliation with Charles Schwab. TradeLens is an independent third-party product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. or its affiliates. “Charles Schwab” and related marks are the property of their respective owners.
2. Eligibility & account responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscription, billing & cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe. Prices and plan features are shown at checkout and may change with notice. You may cancel at any time from the customer portal or the Membership page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features until payment is resolved.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service or its data;
- attempt to access another user’s account or data;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without written authorization;
- upload content that is illegal, infringing, or abusive;
- use the service in ways that violate Schwab’s or any third-party data provider’s terms.
5. Your data; our license
You retain ownership of the journal entries, goals, notes, watchlists, and other content you create in TradeLens. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. Third-party services
TradeLens relies on third-party services including Charles Schwab’s Developer APIs, Stripe, transactional email providers, and public market-data providers. Outages, data gaps, or errors from those services may cause gaps or errors in TradeLens. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that statistics or reconstructed trades will match your broker statements exactly. Use TradeLens as a tool, not as a system of record.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeLens and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
9. Termination
You can terminate at any time by deleting your account from the Profile page. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. On termination, we purge your account rows as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless you have rights to a different venue under applicable consumer-protection law.
